Sebagai bentuk apresiasi atas pengabdian anjing pelacak atau K9 Bea Cukai, Direktorat Jenderal Bea dan Cukai kembali menyelenggarakan Pawsomefest 2026 pada 29 Agustus 2026 di Pusat Pelatihan K9 Kantor Pusat Bea Cukai.

Sebagai kegiatan tahunan DJBC, Pawsomefest terbuka untuk umum dan menjadi ruang bagi para pecinta satwa untuk berkumpul, mengenal lebih dekat dunia K9, sekaligus membawa hewan peliharaan mereka untuk mendapatkan layanan cek kesehatan dan vaksinasi gratis.

Kegiatan ini juga menjadi ajang pertemuan bagi para adopter dan calon adopter dengan K9 Bea Cukai yang telah atau akan memasuki masa purna tugas. Melalui program adopsi, masyarakat berkesempatan memberikan rumah baru dan kehidupan yang layak bagi para K9 setelah menyelesaikan masa pengabdiannya.

Dalam sambutannya, Plt. Direktur Interdiksi Narkotika, Erwin Situmorang, mengungkapkan Bea Cukai menegaskan komitmennya untuk terus menghargai setiap pengabdian, termasuk dari para anjing pelacak yang telah menjadi bagian penting dalam pelaksanaan tugas Bea Cukai.

Pawsomefest 2026 juga merupakan hasil sinergi Bea Cukai bersama Kedutaan Besar Australia, Australian Border Force, dan Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ3), serta melibatkan berbagai Aparat Penegak Hukum lainnya.

Kolaborasi ini tidak hanya memperkuat sinergi antarlembaga, tetapi juga menghadirkan berbagai kemampuan K9 kepada masyarakat melalui rangkaian K9 Show. Mulai dari simulasi pelacakan hingga penangkapan, masyarakat dapat melihat lebih dekat kemampuan dan peran anjing pelacak dalam mendukung tugas pengawasan dan penegakan hukum.

Kehadiran berbagai mitra dan Aparat Penegak Hukum tersebut juga menjadi bagian dari semangat kolaborasi dalam menjaga keamanan negara sekaligus mendukung kesejahteraan satwa kerja.

Melalui Pawsomefest, sinergi lintas negara dan lintas instansi bertemu dengan kepedulian masyarakat terhadap satwa.

Sebab setelah bertahun-tahun menjalankan tugas untuk negeri, masa tugasnya boleh berakhir, tetapi perhatian terhadap kesejahteraan K9 harus tetap berlanjut.

As a form of appreciation for the service and dedication of Customs sniffer dogs, or K9s, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise once again held Pawsomefest 2026 on August 29, 2026, at the K9 Training Center of the Customs and Excise Headquarters.

As an annual event organized by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Pawsomefest is open to the public and provides a space for animal lovers to gather, learn more about the world of K9s, and bring their pets to receive free health check-ups and vaccinations.

The event also serves as a meeting place for adopters and prospective adopters to meet Customs K9s that have either entered or are approaching retirement. Through the adoption program, members of the public have the opportunity to provide these K9s with a new home and a good quality of life after completing their years of service.

In his remarks, Acting Director of Narcotics Interdiction, Erwin Situmorang, emphasized that Customs and Excise remains committed to recognizing every form of service and dedication, including that of the sniffer dogs that have played an important role in carrying out Customs and Excise duties.

Pawsomefest 2026 is also the result of collaboration between Customs and Excise, the Embassy of Australia, the Australian Border Force, and the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ3), with the involvement of various other law enforcement agencies.

This collaboration not only strengthens inter-agency cooperation but also introduces the public to the various capabilities of K9 units through a series of K9 shows. From tracking simulations to apprehension exercises, visitors can gain a closer look at the abilities and roles of sniffer dogs in supporting surveillance and law enforcement operations.

The participation of various partners and law enforcement agencies also reflects a shared spirit of collaboration in safeguarding national security while supporting the welfare of working animals.

Through Pawsomefest, cross-border and inter-agency collaboration comes together with the public’s care and concern for animals.

Because after years of serving the nation, while their time on duty may come to an end, our commitment to the welfare of these K9s should continue.
